Clyde D. Batavia, CEA
Clyde D. Batavia has been in the business of appraising equipment
since 1970. He has extensive experience as an
expert witness and has been successful in court and depositions. Clyde is a member in good standing of the
Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) and is a Level-II Certified
Equipment Appraiser. He is also a
candidate-member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He also
holds membership in the North American Association of Equipment Appraisers,
Certified Senior Appraiser level.
Clyde
has co-authored a paper on machinery depreciation for the Federal Reserve called
"Evidence on the Retirement and Depreciation of Machine Tools". He has
consulted for the U.S. Treasury Department concerning taxation on aging capital assets.
Clyde has been involved in discussions regarding Product Liability Reform with former
President Bush at the White House. In 1991
Clyde Batavia was elected for two terms as President of the Machinery Dealers National
Association (MDNA) in Washington D.C. He was
the first machine dealer west of the Mississippi River ever to hold this position since
the beginning of MDNA in 1942. Clyde is also
active in the European Association of Machine Tool Merchants (EAMTM).

Mark Clar, CEA
Mark
Clar has been in the business of buying and selling new and used machinery since 1972 with
Joe Clar & Sons, Inc. He has been an active member of the Machinery Dealers National
Association (MDNA) since 1974 and currently sits on the MDNA Board of Directors as a
Chapter Representative for Northern California. Mark
Clar is an accredited and certified Level-II appraiser through the Association of
Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) and has been a member in good standing for the
past 19 years.
He also holds membership in the North American
Association of Equipment Appraisers as a Certified Senior Appraiser.
He is a graduate of the
University of California, is married over 27 years.
He is an Eagle Scout, was Active in the Cub Scouts and is
currently active in the local boy Scouts of America on the
Silverado Council Eagle Review Board.

Yoshinobu
Sato, AEA
Yoshinobu Sato has been in the business of buying
and selling new and used machinery actively for over 23 years in Japan. He
specializes in exporting many types of machine tools to the United States and
other countries in Southern Asia and Europe.
He is a member in good standing
of the MDNA (Machinery Dealers National Association) since September 1999. Yoshi Sato belongs to the Northern California Chapter of MDNA
and is an accredited appraiser of the AMEA (Association of Machinery and
Equipment Appraisers). Mr. Sato is the first ever-Japanese machinery
appraiser of AMEA who has done work outside of the United States. He also
belongs to the Aichi Machinery Association in Japan.
Yoshinobu went to college and graduated with a Batchelor of Science
degree from Nagoya Gakuin University in Nagoya, Japan and an AA degree from
Dixie College in St. George, Utah. He currently resides in Nagoya,
Japan and is married and has two boys and a daughter.
Mr. Sato speaks and writes English fluently. He makes many business trips
to the United States visiting his many clients and contacts.. Yoshi also has
many close contacts with Japanese machine tool manufacturers in Japan and in the
United States.
